Qassam hits Sderot home

A Sderot home was directly hit in a Qassam barrage early Saturday morning. No one was wounded but the house was damaged.

After firing three rockets Friday night, Palestinian Qassam cells in northern Gaza continued the salvo Saturday morning, aiming two Qassams at Israeli communities in the western Negev.

The attacks came after IDF soldiers killed three Islamic Jihad members in gunbattles that erupted during a military operation near Jenin Friday evening.

Both rockets fired Saturday morning landed within the Sderot township. One directly hit a private residence, destroying its tile roof. A concrete roof underneath the tile luckily prevented the rocket from causing worse damage.
