Israeli doctor humiliated by airport check
SAN FRANCISCO, June 3 An Israeli doctor says security equipment used on her at San Francisco International Airport was like being placed in a gas chamber.

Dr. Dorit Zilberman, a senior urologist at Chaim Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer, said she had never experienced such humiliation, Ynetnews reported.

"My family perished in the gas chambers in Europe. I never believed that 65 years later, I would be marked, isolated and taken into a gas chamber," Zilberman said. The Israeli news agency said the chamber she referred to uses blasts of air and sensors to find any traces of explosive materials on passengers' clothing. The system is considered safe and European airports are considering using a similar method, Ynetnews said.

Zilberman, who was visiting the United States for the first time for a professional conference, told sources she was taken aside by airport personnel, who led her to a chamber where she was sprayed with strong currents of air, causing her pain.

1. She's a uroligist. For humiliation---just visit a uroligist.
What a cry-baby whiner.

2. I thought it was interesting she confuses US airport security with the Nazis.
You can go so many different ways with that idea.

3. I've been through that machine.
Several times. It's a puff of air. I've never felt anything remotely resembling pain. The machine resembles a small shower stall, and is open in the front and back.

I don't like airport security. I think much of it is stupid and a many of the TSA folks I encounter are unnecessarily rude. But unless this woman has some particular phobia, I'm not sure I understand her complaint.

4. Without an explination, the air sampler would be pretty scary
As for it being painful or a locked box, me thinks that the good doctor is a little over the top.
