Presidential candidates Reuven Rivlin and Colette Avital announce they are quitting race following first round of elections, in which Shimon Peres won 58 votes, leaving Peres as sole candidate for role

the knesset approved of him being the president with the last president resigning. dont know if you can call that winning an election.
