Prof. Aumann: 2 states between sea and Jordan River

Nobel prize laureate Prof. Yisrael Aumann has expressed his support for the idea of "two states for two people – West of the Jordan River – but without expelling a Jew or an Arab from his home."

A solution can be found by thinking "outside the box" and with different proposals raised nowadays in the public discourse, he told Ynet on Thursday.

"At the moment there is no one to talk to, and therefore the solution cannot be implemented at the moment," Prof. Aumann added. "And we must do it without expelling anyone from his home, not the Jews and not the Arabs to Jordan."

Although Israeli Arabs only comprise 20% of the Israeli population, Prof. Aumann believes they are a very important factor.
