Every source I read reported that the IDF was "looking into it". The only source reporting that IDF denied involvement was the Ynet story that henank posted.
Now wouldn't you think there would be some type of buzz over this killing? 60 year old man riding a donkey cart shot and killed. Yet, the story just suddenly fades away after the few initial reports.
Not only did it fade away, but in the sources I looked at, roughly half of them had this incident buried under the bigger headline about the 2 Hamas activists being killed by their own accident.
Here is a typical example -- you can see how the incident is buried in the main story. One paragraph given, all of 3 total sentences. And the last sentence, is of course, the justification for the killing.
And so that's it, it seems. Now just suppose this were an Israeli shot dead... we'd be hearing about the vicious terror attack and a ton of analysis calling for another ground invasion of Gaza. We would hear all the insinuations that all Palestinians are cold killers and murderes, and of course the justifications for the mass collective punishment currently inflicted by the Israeli side.
But instead, we don't hear much of anything. Since the man was a Palestinian, we get 1 paragraph buried in other, more 'important' headlines. Nothing to see here, folks! Everybody move on please.
Just another dead Palestinian.
