3 killed in powerful explosion in Gaza

Palestinians report at least three people have been killed and 40 more wounded in a large explosion in northern Gaza on Thursday afternoon.

The incident occurred in the home of Ahmed Hamouda, a member of the Izz al-Din al Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas. Witnesses reported the explosion was caused by an Israeli airstrike, though the IDF made clear no forces had launched an attack in the area.

Military officials said the army was looking into whether the explosion may have been the result of ammunition detonation, but estimated it most likely appeared to be a Palestinian 'work accident.'

Palestinians say there are women and children among those wounded, five of them are said to be in serious condition.

site gone wrong. Boy, talk about job-related hazards.

2. I'm glad that Al Jazeera is truthful and realistic

Unlike much of the rest of the Arab world. The Hamas continue to claim that the IDF blew the house up, and have used that as an excuse to launch over 60 mortars and rockets at southern Israel in "response".

According to their way of thinking, if there isn't a valid excuse, just make one up!

An explosion at a house in northern Gaza has killed four people and injured at least 20 others, with an unknown number of people still buried under the rubble, according to Palestinian officials.

Two Palestinian fighters were also killed on Thursday in a gunfight with Israeli troops in the north of the territory.

Hamas said the blast was caused by an Israeli airstrike but Israel, which routinely accepts responsibility for attacks, denied any involvement.

4. I wouldn't say they're totally truthful or realistic, but

they're the best we're going to get out of the ME.

One thing I notice that's painfully obvious, they report every "child", "girl", "kids", "civilians", "boys" getting killed by western nations, but never a peep about the innocents killed by Arab attacks. Never.

They even rarely mention attacks initiated by Palestinians on Israel. You go to their website right now (http://english.aljazeera.net/English) and you won't find one mention of the 60+ rockets being fired into Israel from Gaza.

5. BEcause they don't care about Israelis

Every Palestinian death is reported in the Israeli news, and talked about and lamented ad nauseum.

There is no lamenting or even talking about any Israeli murders by Arab terrorists.

Instead, candies are passed out and people celebrate and dance in the streets.

It is the dehumanizing of Jews, which perhaps makes it easier to murder them with such ease.
