Report: Pollard proposes killing Palestinian prisoners until Shalit freed
<snip>

"Convicted Israeli spy Jonathan Pollard made clear that he strongly opposed the prisoner exchange deal to free Israel Defense Forces soldier Gilad Shalit, reported the Jerusalem Post on Wednesday.

Pollard has been in an American jail for over 20 years for spying for Israel while serving as a U.S. Navy intelligence analyst.

Pollard met with Likud activists Moshe Feiglin and Shmuel Sackett at his prison in North Carolina.

Instead of talking about freeing Palestinian prisoners, Pollard said, "Netanyahu should take the list of prisoners Hamas requested and kill one of them every day until they release Gilad from prison."

In a letter sent to the Jerusalem post and published last week, Pollard wrote, " Why is the life of one Israeli captive deemed so precious that Israel's leaders are willing to dispense with all logic and morality in order to redeem him?"

"As long as Israeli leaders demonstrate a unanimous will to exploit the value of rescuing one captive because it suits their political ends, while simultaneously ignoring another captive, there can be no national honor, nor national self-respect," the letter said."

13. If Pollard were free, he'd probably be a Beitenyu MK by now
Maybe a cabinet minister under Bibi even.

2. The snake slithers out
Maybe that's what should have happened to him. At least that was the consensus we had in my unit when he was convicted.

3. IOW, he's not only a spy, but a terrorist as well.
Good thing to know before his next parole hearing.

4. Why is the life of one Israeli captive deemed so precious that Israel's leaders are willing to

I guess he's not familiar with this:

5. That would be far more likely to get Shalit murdered than released...

And Pollard himself is probably reducing the chances of his own release by letting such violent nuttery out of his mouth.

And why is Feiglin involved?

6. The Kuntar move still baffles me
Why release that admitted child-killer just to get someone's remains?

Makes no sense to me.

12. I hold Kuntar's actions to be far worse than those of Pollard
Yet for some reason Israel saw fit to release that pos.

14. Cali's right. That's got nothing to do with Pollard...
Correct me if I'm wrong, but yr one of the 'supporters' of Israel who support Pollard being released, so I'm not surprised to see such a blatant attempt to divert attention away from the subject of the OP...

11. Are we talking about the same thing? More than a few here support him being released...
It's not exactly a controversial stance, and support for him being released has been a regular thing whenever a thread involving Pollard appears. I'm kind of curious to know if those who support him being released still feel the same way after this revolting outburst of his...
