Israel’s biggest enemy is itself
Jesus facepalming Christ. Let’s say you were a cartoonish, Ahmadinejadesque lunatic fixated on destroying Israel.

How would you go about achieving your goal?

Well, priority number one would be to isolate the Israelis from their allies, so they have no diplomatic or military cover.

A good start would be to take actions that infuriate military partners like the Turks by killing a load of Turkish civvies, then telling them to fuck off by pretending that the civvies you killed deserved it.

You’d definitely want to sabotage relations with allies like Greece, so that they’d withdraw from joint military operations and bar your military leaders from the country.

This is true. The biggest danger to Israel is the current Israeli government. And as this says, Hamas are bad for Palestinians too, and Hamas and the Israeli right prop each other up.

No shit.. Most of the world now hates Israel with the exception of US Republicans..
Their irrational fear and over-reaction to the threat from the Palestinians has turned them into an evil regime.

2. An Organized move to Socially Shun Israel's Apologists is Growing
Edited on Mon May-31-10 07:41 PM by grassfed
We cannot influence our government or media but we can exclude Israel's Apologists from our social lives. If encountered at Trader Joe's, the PTA, the dog park, wherever, "We turn our backs to them". No kids birthday parties, no dinner invitations, no bridal showers - cut all ties.

3. This is what I've been saying for some time...
the Israeli Right and Palestinian Right constantly reinforce each other in a sick, dysfunctional fashion. Every new settlement, or attack on Palestinian civilians, is an Israeli donation to Hamas. Every rocket, suicide bomb, or other attack on Israeli civilians, is a Palestinian donation to the Likud.

As for the current Israeli government, they are a major threat to their country in themselves. This article is quite right about them. As I said on another thread, in harsher political periods of British history, many a leader was sent to the block for high treason for doing far less to endanger his country than this lot have done. While I don't quite recommend doing the same nowadays(!), they should all be thrown out of office in utter disgrace, and many of them deserve to face criminal charges.
