Israeli army kills youth in West Bank demo

A Palestinian teenager has been killed by Israeli gunfire during a demonstration near the occupied West Bank town of Nablus.

Medical sources and witnesses said Ahmad Hasan, 14, was fatally shot in the chest on Saturday when Israeli soldiers opened fire against demonstrators throwing stones around Beit Furik.

The Israeli soldiers were patrolling the area in a jeep, the sources said.

This boy was shot in the stomach. Whatever happened to firing into the air as a way to disperse a crowd? Then again, with the bullshit the IDF is prone to trot out to make itself look good, a *crowd* could have been anything from a group of a few teens throwing stones to an actual rioting mob. Who knows?

these tragedies are in fact unavoidable in times of war.

Does anyone posting know anything about what happens in wartime? When soldiers are fighting for their respective countries, civilians get hurt or killed. It's a terrible thing. This is why no one prefers war.

However, to strap a band of spikes and grenades around your waist, cover them with a jacket and jump on a bus or try to run into a cafe...that is not war. That is murder.
