Gaza: Drug users could face execution
GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Gaza's Attorney General said drug offenses in the Strip would come under the death penalty starting this year, saying "just as drugs will be destroyed, drug dealers will also be hanged."

The announcement came as police with the Gaza government destroyed large quantities of hashish, ecstasy pills, prescription-strength pain relievers and alcohol, which officials said had been seized in recent weeks.

“We will amend penal code law to include the death penalty for this group who wish to ruin society by playing a non-patriotic, inhuman and immoral role," the official added.

Gaza police commander Abu Ubayda Al-Jarrah said the measures were being taken as a step against "several sides," which had targeted the coastal enclave and attempted to "ruin its stability."

1. Maybe Robert Gibbs could personally drug test each of them
given how fond he seems of drug testing and all.

I hope he moves our country in this direction.

:sarcasm:

2. At least they are honest enough to categorize alcohol as a "drug"..
Which practically no one in the US will do.

3. Sigh
Someday, some government somewhere will finally accept that drug abuse is a symptom. I didn't expect hamas to ever be that government, of course. Just that it would be nice to see someday
