Israeli navy kills Gaza fisherman, Palestinians say.........
Haaretz 24-09-2010

An Israeli military spokeswoman confirmed that naval vessels shot at a fishing boat after it approached the limits of waters where Israel, which keeps Gaza under blockade, permits Palestinian maritime traffic

"We fired warning shots to turn them back, and when they did not respond, we fired at the boat," the spokeswoman said.

Another IDF 'accidental killing'?......or just Israelis using excessive force and placing a low value on Palestinian lives?

2. Turning the screws...
it used to be 10 nautical miles, however, as time has gone on Israel has enforced tighter and tighter controls on fishing vessels, and firing on them if they go outside these arbitrary limits.

4. Which other western states shoot fishermen on sight?....
Don't tell me......Israel is at war with Gaza.......Shooting Gaza fishermen is therefore legal (......about as moral as shooting 90 year old Gaza farmers.......we appologised for afterwards so what are you complaining about?)

Did someone mention excessive force?.......Lack of concern for Palestinian lives?........IDF macho culture?.....Or just Israeli concepts of morality?

5. Nonchalance...
the people who support Israel as an article of faith will continue to support them, its critics will remain critics, and the people who don't give a rat's arse will continue not giving rats' arses.

There is therefore a window within which Israel knows it can act with relative impunity. Don't kill foreigners and don't kill too many Arabs at once, and all will be well in the world.

6. Haven't you heard of the terror caused by fishing?
No other country has to put up with what Israel has to with those terrorist fishermen possibly heading towards Israel to slap some Israeli across the face with a wet fish!
