Hariri supporters: Hezbollah is carrying out an Iran-backed coup of Lebanon
Supporters of Lebanon's caretaker prime minister Saad al-Hariri accused Hezbollah on Monday of carrying out a coup to put the country's premiership under Iranian control.

Hariri's backers called for a protest "day of anger" to be held on Tuesday, after Hezbollah secured the support from a majority of parliament to nominate its candidate for prime minister,

"As for the coup that Hezbollah is carrying out, it is an attempt to put the office of prime minister under the control of Wilayat al Fakih ," Hariri's supporters said in a statement.

Any figure who accepts the nomination from Hezbollah to form a new government will be considered a "traitor" to his people, they added.

1. Who cares? Don't you know that Keith Olbermann was fired?
Don't bother us with trifles.

2. Same resistance some in the UK showed to Sinn Fein
They'll get over it. It's a good thing when an armed militia gets a political stake that matches its actual influence in the region.

6. Actually Sinn Fein got its political stake after it stopped supporting violence and entered
negotiations - and same with some groups on the other side.

Let's hope that a similar move to peace happens in Lebanon.

meanwhile, Sayyid Nasrallah opens the new government up to all participants. The pro-bin Ladenite Hariri Inc salafists call Hizbu'llah "party of the devil" and call for blood as they riot in Tripoli, and vandalize Beirut and Biqaa neighborhoods. These are the pro-Western forces that the US government wants to run things.

4. Sayyid Nasrallah opens the new government up to all participants?
Your comments seem to indicate that you support Hezbollah - is that accurate?
