snip - More than 100,000 Egyptians from all walks of life gathered on Saturday at the central square in Cairo, as military officers stationed in the area embraced the protesters, chanting "the army and the people are one – hand in hand."

If Mubarek has indeed lost the will of the army - it is over for him. One begins to wonder how long before the House of Saud faces angry masses.

1. Yep, this is what every revolution watcher has been waiting for

Once the military turns, it's all over.

If enough of the wealthy have fled the country, it might even succeed at being a real revolution. Just don't expect the US to approve of the new government.

On edit: this is worth passing along, the human wall protecting the Cairo Museum.

2. Of grave concern...
Who will replace Mubarak if indeed this is his end?

Also vis a vis the Israeli Arab conflict.... will the peace accord between Egypt and Israel last?

I am somewhat concerned that another war in the Middle East will soon break out.
