Hundreds protest against fence at Baka al-Garbiyeh
Hundreds of protestors rallied Friday in the Israeli Arab town of Baka al-Garbiyeh against the contruction of the separation fence to the east of the town.

Police at the scene of the demonstration say that there have been no untoward incidents recorded so far.

There was also a small demonstration of peace activists in Jerusalem, where right-wing hecklers shouted insults at the protestors.

1. It took me a week to learn how to spell Lieberman.
I do not envy the person who has to be a spell-checker for Hebrew words translated to English.

I remember a few weeks ago when I wanted to use the word "Hanukkah", there were THREE different ways to spell the darned thing!

Question for the Hebrew-speakers: Is Hebrew a difficult language to spell in? Would you say it's harder than English?

4. vowels are optional...
e.g., the English equivalent would be something along the lines of hnkkh...

how's that for convenience?...

3. Interesting...
I wonder why the route of the fence veers deeply into Palestinian territory to take in many Israeli settlements in the West Bank, but in this case where it divides a town in two that appears to be straddling the Green Line, it hasn't veered from what must be the Green Line at all...

Violet...
