Palestinian man blows himself up in West Bank village

A Palestinian man is seriously injured after blowing himself up in the West Bank village of Jinsapout on Sunday, in what the Israel Defense Forces is calling a work accident, Army Radio reported.

The village is west of Nablus, near the Jewish settlement of Kedumim.

According to the IDF sources, the man was planning to execute a suice attack in Israel.

The Al-Aqsa Brigades commander in Jenin, Zakariya Zbeidi, sustained light-to-moderate injuries in an exchange of fire with Israel Defense Forces troops, Israel Radio reported Saturday.

The radio quoted Palestinian sources as saying that Zbeidi was injured Friday, and was treated at a hospital in the West Bank city.
