Final prisoner swap list drawn up; Dirani, Obeid to be moved today

Preparations for Thursday's prisoner exchange with Hezbollah moved into high gear yesterday.
The defense establishment finalized the list of the 400 Palestinians due to be released as part of the swap, although as of press time last night, the list had not yet been posted on the Prisons Service's web site. The list is slated to be up by this morning.
Israeli sources said only some 150 of the Palestinians are convicted offenders; the remainder are administrative detainees. Among the offenders, all have less than three years left to serve, and none have "blood on their hands."
Palestinian sources said that while they have yet to receive a definitive list, the information they have received so far indicates that all of those due to be released were convicted of relatively minor offenses, such as entering Israel illegally, maintaining membership in a terrorist organization, stone-throwing, or throwing Molotov cocktails. That has created disappointment among Palestinians, who were hoping for the release of serious offenders, long-term prisoners and prominent political figures.
