Report: IDF to adopt code of conduct for troops at roadblocks

Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz approved the proposal on the behavior of IDF troops at roadblocks after reading it, and decided to its implementation. According to the proposal, written by Brigadier General Baruch Spiegel, the army will train professional staff and will sign a treaty outlining the code of conduct for soldiers at roadblocks.

Special border passages will be established for ambulances, essential workers, and dignitaries, Israel Radio reported. The army report also recommends increasing the number of daily hours that roadblocks are manned to 24."

1. Improvements

These improvements in the processing of Palestinian workers entering Israel will make life easier for the average Palestinian. Ambulances will have a speedier entry as well.

The tight budget of Israeli Defense forces and the onslaught of terrorists prevented earlier considerations here.
