Norway condemns killing of Hamas leader
http://pub.tv2.no/nettavisen/english/article203428.ece

«Norway condemns the killing this morning of Hamas leader Sheikh Ahmed Yassin,» said the Norwegian Foreign Minister Jan Petersen.

«The killing of Sheikh Yassin has created an extremely dangerous situation. I urge the parties to refrain from further violence and lay the groundwork as soon as possible so that the Roadmap for Peace can be implemented,» Petersen emphasised. «Efforts to implement an agreed Israeli withdrawal from Gaza must be given top priority.»

2. With a Wink and a Nod of Approval.......
With a Wink and Nod to Isreal,
Mr Bush has firmly drawn the United States
into embracing the cycle of Blood Revenge.

Given the drug store cowboy's history in Texas,
a fond embrace of blood revenge,
no matter how many innocent persons are put to death.

3. NATO Norway speaks out.
It can't have passed under the radar that the U. S. is supplying these weapons for the dirty work.

Plus they call for "agreed Israeli withdrawal from Gaza." Take that, Sharon and Bush. A definite slap in the face.

5. It was clearly an illegal act of murder.
It was a vicious, inexcusable and inciteful act of violence. If the Palestinians had a formal military that targeted one of the likuds, sharon would call it terrorism. Yet, a military strike by sharon is called an act against terrorism. All I know is that, whether a death is caused by military action or suicide bombing, both acts are murder, plain and simple. The rule of law is being tossed away like garbage by sharon and his likuds by targeting a spiritual leader of a people who possess every bit as legitimate a struggle as does sharon/likuds. I am disgusted.

12. Murder?
All I know is that, whether a death is caused by military action or suicide bombing, both acts are murder, plain and simple.

So you're saying all killing is murder? American soldiers are murderers?

rule of law is being tossed away like garbage by sharon and his likuds by targeting a spiritual leader of a people who possess every bit as legitimate a struggle as does sharon/likuds.

I don't know what you mean by that. If you're referring to Palestinians in general, fine. But if you're referring to Mr. Yassin's little organization, Hamas, then you're dead wrong. Hamas is one of the most profoundly evil groups of people anywhere. Its goal is simple - the genocidal extermination of the Jewish people and the establishment, in Israel's place, of a totalitarian theocratic terror-state. In that context, Mr. Yassin was a valid military target. He saw himself as the sworn enemy of Israel's right to exist - and that's exactly how he died.

8. People are outraged by murders of mommies and babies,...
,...whether by the sharon/likud military or by retaliatory suicide bombings or by the bush/neocon war machine or any other killing. They are all murders.

10. It's not murder...
Edited on Mon Mar-22-04 09:10 PM by DubyaSux
It's not murder. It's tragedy. 37% of Israeli non-combatant casualties are female. That is consistent with random killings. Conversely, 95% of Palestinian non-combatant casualties are male. It's not possible to randomly kill 95% male.

The PLO started blowing up Jews in 1964 - 3 years before the 6 day war. This is not about land or oppression. It's about hatred. Palestinians hate Jews more than they love their lives.

The Jews have been run out of every Arab nation around them, which is true apartheid.

Nation......... Jewish pop. 1948......Jewish population today

Algeria....... 140,000 ....................under a 100

Egypt............75,000......................... 100

Iran............100,000........................ 11,500

Iraq............150,000............................ 100

Lebanon........20,000.............................100

Libya............ 38,000................................0

Morroco.......265,000........................... 5,700

Syria.............30,000.......................Under a 100

Tunisia.........105,000...........................1,500

Yemen.......... 55,000.......................Under 200

I hate Bush and almost everything about republicans, but I hope they DID help put that worthless piece of Hamas crap in the ground. The teachings of hatred have to stop, and that seems like as good as place as any to start.

11. I guess that you define "murder" differently from me.
I define murder as the intentional killing of another human being.

You and I obviously have a fundamental philosophical difference that is irreconcilable.

15. One of the most deceitful posts I have seen in this forum
*** 37% of Israeli non-combatant casualties are female. ***

Right. Move the goal posts. Israeli crimes don't count because they are inflicted on males!

*** The PLO started blowing up Jews in 1964 - 3 years before the 6 day war ***

What? What does that have to do with anything? Israel began defying UN resolutions, stealing land and committing massacres of Palestinians in 1948 . The assassinations of non-violent protesters and their leaders between 1948 and 1964 without retaliation is testament to the patience and discipline of the Palestinians.

Regarding meaningless figures on Jewish populations elsewhere, google "Operation Magic Carpet". Jews elsewhere in the Middle East were shipped to Israel by the Israeli government. These "olim" are paid cash and land to colonise Muslim-owned lands.

The fact any Jews at all refused the bribes and demonstrated they prefer to live in Arab countries says more about Israel than anything I could write.
