The core idea is correct, Europe is becoming an independent
power, and since it is closer and will over time become
stronger than the USA, Israel will have to deal with it, and
there is no reason to expect Europe to step into the sort of
one-way "special relationship" Israel has had with the USA.

This is the core reason that I believe that the GOI has been
most foolish not to negotiate a settlement with the Arabs
now, and sooner than now. The Israeli negotiating position
gets weaker all the time.
