Robbers die trying to hold-up suicide bomber
27/04/2004 - 17:33:49
A Hamas suicide bomber blew up two armed Palestinians who tried to rob him at gun point in the Gaza Strip.

Hamas claimed the “stickup men” worked for Israeli intelligence, while Palestinian security forces said the two were ordinary thieves.

<snip>

A Hamas official said that whatever their intention, the two should be considered agents of Israel.

“Anyone who tries to stop a fighter from doing his work is a collaborator,” he said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

1. What is to love about any violence?
That's a rather sick statement.

9. Yeah, three people died. LOL!
They deserved each other.

Hamas is nearly as bad as Sharon and the IDF. And I just can't get together any concern for muggers who get blown up by their muggee.

16. I'm waiting for Israel to show a vomitous world view.

The Palestinians have proved unexpectedly indigestible, but the Likud party and its friends keep on chewing.

Let's hope they "throw up" a viable Palestinian state. With farmland, water, connecting roads etc., instead of concrete camps in the desert, with Israel snipers watching through scopes 24-7.

18. Israel isn't trying to swallow them
So it doesn't have to vomit them up.

As for some of the things you want, why would Israel agree to connecting roads through it's state? If the Palestinians wish to travel, they could go around the long way through Jordan and Egypt.

19. Israel has swallowed them.
And continues to swallow more of their land every day.

why would Israel agree to connecting roads through it's state?

South Africa gave its dispossessed, terrorized indigenous people the right to travel from one Bantustan ("independent homeland") to another (with passes).

Try reading Mandela's autobiography "Long Walk to Freedom. You might learn something, and find the similarity to Palestine disturbing. I know Nelson Mandela does.

So Israel claims it will not give Palestinians freedom of movement once they have been granted a "state"?

I guess the Afrikaaner Nationalists were less racist than Israel's militant Zionists.

21. Swallowing implies permancy, this isn't permanent
And the only reason it has taken this long for peace is that the Palestinians rejected peace and continue to do so.

The Palestinian state will be a separate and independent state over time. Only neighbors at peace allow free travel and even that is often restricted. And do you honestly expect these two sides to be neighbors at peace in our lifetime?

Too bad for you that there is no comparison to South Africa. Israel is a democratic nation with majority rule. All Israeli CITIZENS can vote. Non-citizens, like you and I, can't.

Nor can we travel at will through another nation. Those rules apply everywhere, but only Israel gets criticized for them.

13. Denials by the PA
Of course they were "collaborators". They were security men who tried to disarm a suicide attacker, which they were supposed to do. That's why they are being labeled as Israeli agents.

It shows how serious they are over in the PA about peace.

That's what is so humorous.

...here's some more explosive hilarity:

http://www.haaretzdaily.com/hasen/spages/421195.html

4 soldiers hurt foiling major Hamas attack in Gaza

<snip>

"Four IDF soldiers were injured, two moderately and two lightly when they foiled a major suicide car bomb attack Wednesday on Gaza Strip settlers.

Hamas claimed responsibility for the attack, in which a civilian jeep flying an Israeli flag and packed with as much as 300 kilograms of explosives drew the suspicion of Givati Brigade infantrymen on patrol near the Mor Bridge between the Kissufim crossing and the Gush Katif bloc of settlements."

<snip>

"The IDF believes the jeep's Palestinian driver planned to blow himself up against a bus or a convoy on the Kissufim-Gush Katif highway. The military had received general intelligence warnings of the possibility of such an attack."

...still laughing?

15. Thankful
The soldiers prevented a major car bomb attack. Another attempt by Hamas that has failed. No cover-up story involved. Thankfully, the soldiers were not killed, only the would-be attacker.

8. i'm sorry -- I know there were three deaths. But still: LOL!
Hey, if you want to fight terrorism, here's an easy, cheap way: release from prison all convicted muggers and tell them to get busy.
