Weapon-smuggling tunnel uncovered in Rafah

A weapon-smuggling tunnel was uncovered Wednesday in a yard between abandoned residential houses during an IDF and Border Police activity in the outskirts of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip, IDF officials said.

This is the 15th weapon-smuggling tunnel uncovered since the beginning of 2004.

Since September 2000 approximately 90 weapon-smuggling tunnels were uncovered along the Gaza border with Egypt.

1. How many non-weapons smuggling tunnels have they discovered?

Or is EVERY tunnel considered to be a weapons smuggling tunnel? Do they have proof that weapons are smuggled or is it just assumed that if there is a tunnel it is smuggling weapons. And they find these tunnels at such and such a site, but where do they end up? Could these be tunnels used to hide in while being attacked?

Please enquiring minds want to know!

6. I appears that the tunnels are not a great threat to Isreal

The existence is hyped and the numbers exaggerated, and not large enough to smuggle any but the smallest weapons, and take up to a year to complete?

I am TOTALLY confused regarding the I/P situation, except that Sharon has gone overboard from what I have learned???

Like I said, I am totally confused and am on the fence when it comes to the I/P situation. Both sides are guilty of atrocities. Is one death better/worse than another?

It is like the Extremist Christians...you can NEVER kill ANYONE before they are born or when they are on their deathbead...but everyone else is killable???

A nation has the right to defend itself.
