Hoenlein: Danger is from Islamic fundamentalists

COP Executive Vice Chairman says he had received warnings from Moslems regarding threat they posed.

COP (Conference of Presidents) Executive Vice Chairman Malcolm Hoenlein says he has not maligned the American Moslem community in any way.

Speaking to Maariv International, he said that in a previous interview he gave to Maariv during his recent trip to Israel, he had been referring to Islamist fundamentalist, not the American Moslem community.

“I said that I had issued warnings over ten years ago about attempts by radical Islamic fundamentalists to infiltrate Western societies, and their desire to propagate their extremist doctrines, which are fundamentally incompatible with the spirit of tolerance that is the basis of American society”.

“I also mentioned the fact that according to the best estimates available, there are about 10 million illegal aliens in the US, some of whom are Moslems. Some of these include emissaries and agents of militant pro-jihadist groups”, he added.

If the US took steps before 9/11/01 to close the gaps in the security arrangements, there would have been no 9/11 attack. Israel goes to greater lengths to make sure that risks are not only minimized, but hopefully eliminated, because just one infiltration can cause a major attack with hundreds of casualties.
The chain reaction of allowing the terrorists through every gate, past inspections and searches, shows that allowing minimal risk and passing it on to the next inspector who also minimizes the risks adds up to a major security breech.
