GAZA (Reuters) - Defiant Palestinian militants fired rockets into an Israeli border town on Monday despite Israel's vow to stop such attacks from the Gaza Strip with a massive military offensive that has killed 63 Palestinians.

Pressing its biggest assault on the coastal territory in four years of conflict, Israel's army killed four militants and three civilians, including a 15-year-old girl, on Monday.

Israel launched the offensive, codenamed "Days of Reckoning," after a Palestinian rocket strike killed two pre-schoolers in the southern town of Sderot on Wednesday.

But even as 200 tanks and armored vehicles blanket northern Gaza, militants have kept up sporadic rocket firings, fueling Israeli criticism of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's plan to evacuate Jewish settlements in the territory next year.

5. What good comes from launching rockets into a non-military area?

The Israelis will continue to burn and kill until they stop these things.

That is the way both sides play over there--to escalate the violence.

They won't stop any Palestinian children from getting killed, and they have already killed Jewish children.

But, I guess that doesn't matter.


And someone who claimed that Yemen punishing someone for bombing the USS Cole was illegal has no room to use the term "talking out of your ass."
