Israel allows Tunisian doctors to visit Yasser Arafat in W. Bank
A Tunisian medical team was en route to the West Bank to examine Palestinian Authority chairman Yasser Arafat, who has been suffering from the flu, a Tunisian diplomat said Saturday.

The group, which includes six doctors, among them an eye, ear, and nose specialist, is scheduled to arrive in Ramallah on Saturday.

Doctors will perform a precautionary exam, said the Tunisian representative in the West Bank, Ahmed al-Habasi, who visited Arafat on Friday.

"The president is in good health. He is suffering from a cold," al-Habasi said. "There is nothing to worry about."

Palestinian officials have insisted that Arafat has recovered in recent days and that he is even observing the dawn-to-dusk fast of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. However, they have been reluctant to discuss his health in detail.

Hmmm...is this the end for the worlds oldest non-jailed serial terrorist?? The most famous bloodsucker of the century?

The champagne's on ice.

1. what is Sharon sick too?
or is he hiding from his right wing buddies who want to kill him over the settlement issues? far as i`m concerned both these old terrorists show retire and maybe something constructive can be done to solve the issue. but i really don`t think anything positive will happen in the years i have left.....

4. There's no regular here who likes Arafat...
Unless we go by the formula that detesting both Arafat and Sharon = liking Arafat. And we both know how lame that would be, don't we donny? ;)

6. If it's such a surprise to you...
..then you'll have no difficulty at all pointing out a few of these fans of Arafat. See, I am a regular here and read just about every post, but unless yr getting the names Arafat and Sharon mixed up, there hasn't been any glowing praise of Arafat in this forum...

8. Good question...
Edited on Sun Oct-24-04 06:03 PM by newyorican
no doubt it deserves an equally good answer.

Who are these "Arafat fans"?

On Edit: Of course, this could be a case of talking-out-your-ass-itis.

10. Yr edit was correct in this case...
But it's fun to try to get them to put up or shut up. In this case the shutting up was pretty resounding as the person who originally imagined up all those Arafatfans hasn't graced us with his presence. Guess there's only so many hours in the day, and when there's repetitious articles from conservative dribblesources about collaborators and radical Muslim clerics to post, then there just ain't enough time to put up on things like this :)

please provide just ONE example of Violet ever even coming close to suggesting approval for Arafat, I've only ever seen her condemn him and I am a regular here.

12. pot kettle black
you say it's a bad debating technique to call someone a zionist or a republican simply because they don't agree with you - and it is.

Calling them supporter of terrorism or Arafat fans is much the same.

Mote meet beam.

14. Ah! The only SickArafat thread with no link to the AIDS gossip!
A breath of fresh air! I wonder why this thread was singled out to be missed in the visit of the AIDS gossip linking frenzy....Could it have something to do with the fact that on being asked to point out all these alleged Arafat fans you claimed were floating round this forum, you couldn't do it?

13. Hamas can't wait till he kicks the bucket
They will fight for a thousand years if they have to. You think losing Arafat is good for Israel, but its not. Israel is not invincible.
