Jewish extremist settler jailed

An Israeli court has sentenced a Jewish settler to eight years imprisonment for membership of an extremist group.

Shahar Dvir-Zeliger was handed a lesser sentence after co-operating with investigators and leading them to where a weapons cache used by the group.

Prosecutors said the Dvir-Zeliger was member of the Bat Ayin cell, which has killed eight Palestinians.

Three members of the group were convicted in 2003 for a bombing at a Palestinian school in east Jerusalem in 2002 that left a teacher and four children injured.

and you wonder why his house wasnt leveled?.....well because we have one set of laws for citizens of israel and we have a second set of rules for an enemy society that wants to destroy us, that we are war with.

I suspect that, for reasons that are beyond me, some people believe that israel is supposed to apply israeli civil law equally to both its citizens as well as to a society that actively seeks its destruction....( we dont buy into that....)

hope that explains why his house wasnt leveled nor his family arrested etc.

(However I did notice the lack of enthusiasim over here for israel arresting one of its own for planning attacks on the palestenains....though its hardly been the first time)

you want to be congratulated for arresting criminals? that's what democracies are supposed to do pelsar.

The reason this pricks house and family was left alone is that ISRAELI criminals are held responsible ALONE for their actions, Palestinians entire familes/neighbourhoods are held responsible for criminals in their midst - quite simply put it's bigotry

The extremists from groups like Kach are tiny most of them live in Kiryat Arba near Hebron they are more of a threat towards other Israelis then towards Palestinians.
