Iran launches Hebrew radio station
...
"Kol David" broadcasts its main news show every evening from 7-7:30 Greenwich time and has two other half hour broadcasts.

In a two-minute recorded introduction accessible from the webpage, an up-beat Iranian radio host tells Hebrew-speaking listeners that the broadcasts are directed to "Falestina and America."

Yet, in a blatant break with state rhetoric, the "Kol David" radio website refers to Israel by name. Its news articles, which appear to be copied in some instances from the Israeli Hebrew press, never use the more common Iranian phrase "Zionist entity." The only obvious difference in language is the use of 'immigrant' instead of "olim" and that the Israeli Defense Ministry is called the "Ministry of War."

At the top of the webpage, which can be accessed at http://www.irib.ir/worldservice/hebrewradio/default.htm, the Hebrew date slides across the screen. The site provides limited news, with most of it about Israel. The articles describe controversial events on the conflict. Dilemmas such as the psychological effects of the intifada on Israeli children are also posted.

1. Wow
This is very cool. I also think there is a joint Israeli-Palestinian radio show as well.

3. Don,to be fair
if JPost was the only source you used you'd have a point.

However, every regular here knows your penchant for right wing sources, many that make JPost look like the Guardian in comparison.

Also, the ones you mention in your deep authoritative voice are also crap, and most here have said so.Can you point to a single post where ANYONE has claimed those sites are "stalwarts of honor and integrety"? Bet you can't...and bet you wont retract this statement if you dont.

You've made your own bed by choosing (and worse, always agreeing with) the sources you post.Turning around and playing the victim now is really kind of funny to me.Maybe we're wrong about you,but the picture you've painted here on DU is one of your own creation.People take Lithos seriously because he doesn't make a habit of posting from blatantly right wing sites and agreeing with them. The same simply cannot be said of you.If you're upset at the claims against you stop and think for a minute why that impression has been made

The hate, especially the state-sponsored stuff, directed towards Israel needs to stop.It helps no one.Just the opposite.

5. Interesting, but

let's see how it turns out. What I've seen their so far is not exaclty objective. Two examples, relating to current threads:

1) In relation to the Palestinian girl who was killed by a rocket, they accuse Israel of killing her.

2) An article about the IDF's review of house demolitions is peperred with loaded terms (e.g. at the beginning "the intent is to assess the effectiveness of this criminal tactic", or at the end "finally,we can say we will wait for the comittee's results which will certainly include the emphasis that house demolitions and the killings will not vanquish the Palestinians"), plus somewhat more subtle indications of bias.

As they don't seem to source their articles, I can't say whether these articles are their own or taken and translated from Al-Jazeera or another source.
