Peres: 100,000 Gaza Palestinian families to get $100 a month
Some 100,000 Palestinian families in the Gaza Strip will each receive $100 a month from a fund aimed at helping Palestinian families in distress, Vice Premier Shimon Peres announced Thursday.

Peres said the disbursement begins Thursday, Israel Radio reported.

On Wednesday the Indian ambassador to Israel said his country would contribute $15 million to the fund, according to the report. It said Israel has helped the Palestinians raise funds from Arab countries and other international donors.

During a meeting with Palestinian Finance Minister Salam Fayad on Thursday, Peres said the greenhouses in Gaza Strip settlements should not be demolished because they could allow tens of thousands of Palestinian families to earn a living, according to the report.
During the meeting, Peres also suggested opening a second border crossing in the south Gaza area of Rafah to allow for merchandise to be moved from the Gaza Strip to Israel and Egypt, the radio said.

2. Working Together for Peace

Some points -

    1. Not all contacts between Israel and India are about armaments.

-The Indian Red Cross Society and Israel Red Star of David (Magen David Adom) worked very closely during the Tsunami Recovery.
-Thriving civilian consumer and industrial technology exchanges.
-Working together to industrialize Gaza and the OT's.

    2. There are Arab leaders who are working with Israelis to industrialize Gaza and the OT's. Examples include Venture Capitalist Professor Ayman Kandeel and both "Prince Talals" - Saudi Prince Al-Walid bin Talal bin Abdulaziz and His Royal Highness Prince El Hassan bin Talal of Jordan.

    3. There are "Zionist" in the US who are working with Palestinians and Israelis to to industrialize Gaza and the OT's and build a modern nation for the Palestinians. Former Citibank CEO Sandy Weill comes to mind.

What is not needed are the nattering nabobs of negativism (to quote VP Spiro T. Agnew) to pour gasoline on flames.

3. AMEN. Gasoline we don't need. We need some constructive
HELP. And some moral support wouldn't hurt either.
