Islamic Jihad, Fatah claim responsibility for Saturday's shooting death of couple
Islamic Jihad and Fatah claimed responsibility yesterday for Saturday night's shooting attack at the Gush Katif Junction in Gaza, which killed a married couple, Dov and Rahel Kol of Jerusalem.
However, Palestinian sources said that both gunmen - Tarek Yassin, 22, and Yihye Abu Taha, 21 - belonged to Islamic Jihad.
The Israel Defense Forces closed the Gush Katif Junction to northbound Palestinian traffic yesterday in response to the attack.
Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas condemned the attack, which the terrorists, in a video made beforehand, said was launched to avenge "Israeli violations of the security lull." Abbas called the attack "a violation of the organizations' agreement on a lull" that "gives Israel an excuse for revenge attacks against the Palestinian leadership and
does not serve the Palestinian national interest." Abbas also promised to prevent further attacks.http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/604049.html...........................................................
More 'arafatisms' from CROCODILE Abu. "Condemn" the attack, then the ever so sensitive "does not serve the palestinian national interest" and as usual, do nothing.
