The team’s motto is “Engage,” and Flowers and others work with more than 250 bloggers to try to disseminate news about the good work being done by U.S. forces in the global war on terror. The effort, officials here said, has reached more than 17 million online readers. “We were given the mission to do electronic media engagement,” Flowers said. “The idea was put forth that so many people are getting their news from online sources that we would be remiss if we neglected that audience.”

Ever wonder why poster __________ was just so gosh-darned persistent?

1. "electronic media engagement" -

our tax dollars at work "indeed". I have no doubt they go "undercover"; there is something about certain posters on the "internets" that seem to lack individuality: Canned names, canned avatars, canned responses....even the abusive ones.

2. Paid propagandists? Good thing none of 'em are here. Imagine what

a pain in the neck it would be to have to put up with people that are actually being PAID to post thousands & thousands of messages that are designed to distract the efforts of well-meaning people who merely want to know more about the events of 911, and who want to talk about the implications of the "attacks" being an inside job.

If we had to put up with that, there wouldn't be much time left to exchange thousands of posts on the really important issues of 911 like whether or not Larry was being crafty whenever he uttered those famous words or whether or not it would have been possible to rig the WTC buildings with explosives prior to 911.

Ever wonder how we have been able to avoid having to put up with elements of an organized, paid team of CTers who come here to stick it to the few remaining Truth Seekers on the DU 911 forum?

7. Dear, departed Americus...
Sometimes I close my eyes and I think s/he's still with us...

...or is that AbeLinkman whose presence I still feel here? Dear, departed Abraham...I wonder where he is...or she - Abe never actually divulged a gender....

...but then I come to my senses. That was then and this is now. I say to myself, "You won't get any younger thinking like that." And then I drink a Bud.

(but just one!)

11. Most people that like to argue would rather argue something they can

sincerely believe in or something for which a plausible case can be made. Here, neither of those apply. Does that then leave us with the first thing you mentioned? Absolutely. How about the second thing you mentioned? C'mon. Is today Friday? The only reason to exaggerate a "defense" is as a tactic to try to bury the very notion. Annoying and couneractive to all things American? Sounds like you think so, and I believe most of the rest of us here agree.
