What if Cheney confesses to doing 9/11? ...
(The following are some reactions after the Vice President's detailed exposure, at a press conference Tuesday, of his leading role in conceiving and orchestrating the 9/11 events as a false-flag attack designed to justify a long-planned global war of aggression.)

Right-wingers, especially those who fancy themselves as realists and intellectuals, are finding excuses. 9/11 was a bold, geopolitically savvy move. It had to be done to save America. Otherwise the people would have never understood the terrorist threat in time. Really, it was a favor to us, a necessary sacrifice. And besides, most of those killed were Democrat defeatists who would have otherwise been wiped out in greater numbers by the Islamofascists.

And who are we little people to question these big things? Our leaders know more and better than we do, etc.

Chip Berlet, David Corn, Indymedia and 911myths.com have rushed to deny the confession, pointing out that Cheney is a right-wing conspiracy theorist who has lied many times in the past.

The DU management is banishing all threads linking to Cheney's confession to the conspiracy dungeon.

Democratic Senators Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden and Joe Lieberman are ignoring the news altogether, and urging the administration to hurry up and prosecute a more vigorous war on terror.

Media pundits are for the most part declining to talk about the issue because it is, after all, old news. Everyone knew 9/11 was an inside job - why bother stirring this up now? Many 9/11 skeptics agree, complaining that they after all have been saying this for years, and in the meantime have moved on to (peak oil, macrame, exile) and so the revelation at this point is late and irrelevant.

Other, more radical 9/11 skeptics are complaining that Cheney's confession of orchestrating 9/11 on behalf of an association of Bush cronies is just a limited hangout, covering up the role of __________ (take your pick among NWO, world banking, Zionists, aliens etc.) and paving the way in a Hegelian dialectic that will end up in one-world government by (Jimmy Carter, Hillary Clinton, Nelson Mandela, George Soros, Gorbachev, Freemasons, Bilderbergs, etc.)

Meanwhile, Geraldo Rivera asks: Yes, but what about Natalie Holloway, missing since...?

1. Are you kidding?

When a guy he shot comes to him to ask for forgiveness, because his face came between a quail and Cheney's gun, do you honestly think he comes out and says I knew about the War Games scheduled for 911 and prevented air defense for the Pentagon during the Flight 77 approach?

It's not going to happen

8. No I'm completely serious.
I expect Cheney to confess. That was the point of this post. There was no humorous element involved. Thank you.

2. Thanks for the laugh, Jack :)
Sad thing is, though, I could see most of the reaction actually happening. Especially the limited hangout part, don't know whether to lobotomize myself with a screwdriver, simply bang my head against a wall, or take up a nice hashish habit to try and understand a little better.

3. The " Big Four" ALL said things indicating foreknowledge of 9/11

Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, and George Tenet ALL have made statements which indicate they had foreknowledge of the 9/11 events.

Cheney said (on the morning of 9/11): "this isn't over yet. Al Qaeda always does simultaneous attacks." {the exact quote is easy to find}. What makes that statement so incriminating is the fact that there is NO historical record of "Al Qaeda" or OBL being involved in ANY "simultaneous" attacks...PRIOR to 9/11.

Tenet said (on the morning of 9/11): "this has all the markings of Al Qaeda - I've got to go". {again, the exact quote is easy to find}. Since he didn't find it convenient to explain what he meant, (given the exigencies of the moment, it's understandable), we can only guess what he was referring to. But, given the historical record of ALLEGED Al Qaeda attacks, there's nothing like a "signature" M.O. they use. Tenet was obviously (and probably very nervously) trying to sound like HE was so perceptive that he could tell just from TV reports that the WTC attacks HAD to have been
Al Qaeda's doings. I don't think so. I think Tenet's statement is an "admission against interest",
spontaneous utterance indicating a guilty conscience.

Most people know the Rumsfeld comments ("there'll be another one". "the missile used to attack this building" etc.), and most people (here) know about Bush's recent comments.

5. LOL, that's pretty good.
I imagine they'll roll out the next Big Lie on their fundie-megachurch network and let it seep into media from there. They're the world's biggest hypocrites so they ought to swallow a killing-New-York-to-save-it whopper hook line and sinker.

Or maybe not. This is going to be interesting.

7. Cheney will never confess...
Edited on Tue Sep-19-06 10:20 AM by DrDebug
The best thing we can hope for is that Rummie will have another slip of the tongue and accidently admit to having giving to order for the missile on the Pentagon.

And remember this story which disappeared into the memory hole, re: The David Kelly affair:

"Have you got blood on your hands, Prime Minister?"

20 Jul 2003

IT MAY come to be seen as the defining moment of his premiership.

With the brutal questions: "Have you got blood on your hands, Prime Minister? Are you going to resign?" hanging in the air, Tony Blair appears to freeze in front of the world’s cameras.

His face ashen, the man who is supposedly never flustered by the media simply stares into space, silent, exhausted, apparently beaten.

For journalists used to an effortlessly relaxed, urbane public style, it is a shocking sight, all the more stark when compared with Blair’s rapturous reception in front of the US Congress only two days earlier.

After several seconds, which feel like an eternity, the Prime Minister is eventually saved at this press conference in the Japanese spa resort of Hakone by an intervention from his hosts. But the damage has been done.

What do you mean damage has been done? Almost everybody has forgotten about that brief moment of truth when Tony Blair had GUILTY written all over his face. And Cheney has no conscience and Bush has no brain, so they are even worse.
