1. amazing how much a controlled demolition resembles the WTC collapse |

5. Amazing how much a collapse of a large building |
|
due to localized damage is determinedby the nature of building contruction and the physics of the situation so there are consistencies and commonalities in the collapse.

7. Aww, don't harsh their buzz. |

Surely you know, if you've been reading DU long enough, that a lot of DUers have no concept whatsoever about how science, physics, or engineering works.
Lots of these folks seem to think that the only way the towers should have fallen was like dominoes, with one leaning over to fall into the next, and so on up the West Side.
The idea that burning jet fuel could weaken steel below the necessary strength required to maintain the integrity of the structures, leading floors to pancake one into the next will never have the appropriate ring of "truthiness" with them.

13. NIST also said weak steel did not cause collapse. |

8. Except for a few small details... |
|
like the controlled demolition starting from the bottom of the building, and the WTC collapse starting right where the planes hit near the top. You know, just minor stuff.

10. So in order for it to be controlled demolition... |
|
...it must be done bottom to top rather than top to bottom? That's a ridiculous suggestion.
WTC 1 and 2 were both top to bottom controlled demolition.

12. Actually that's not true |
|
According to the NIST report, WTC 1 failed at the 92nd floor, which was two floors below the bottom of the impact zone.

6. This video ought to be set up in split screen with WTC#7 demolition |
|
...for a comparison. Also, look at the plume of dust flow after the building falls on itself and compare that to the two WTC towers dust plumes after they hit the ground. Remarkable similarities. Your other post of the failed demolition shows what should have happened with the WTC towers had they simply fallen in on themselves without the aid of explosives, large sections of the towers would have remained intact, just like the failed demolition video shows. The WTC attacks were indeed an inside job using explosives.

14. Same sounds as 9/11 too... |
|
or are we to believe that solid string of blasts at the begining of the video are just the floors of the building "pancaking" on one another... oh wait - they only "pancake" when planes hit the building. :eyes:
