Now that Democrats are back in control of both houses of Congress, the signers of this petition are hopeful that the flow of information to the people will be drastically improved and the veil of secrecy will be permanently removed from our government. The excuse of “national security” has been used for too long to suppress information that the public needs to make democracy here work.

Therefore, we petition the addressees to immediately begin comprehensive, complete and thorough investigations into all aspects of the events of September 11, 2001. Of all the events in the history of this country, this event by far needs to be understood by the American public more so than any other. The reports issued by NIST and the 9/11 Commission were obviously whitewashes of the truth. NIST didn't examine all possibilities for the collapse of the World Trade Center buildings, and blatantly ignored WTC-7 for unfathomable reasons. And although the 9/11 Commission promised to answer all questions put forth by the families of victims, most of these questions were also ignored. This is absolutely outrageous and does not show respect for the American people.

Your investigations should be completely open to the public with all hearings televised.

We, the American people, deserve a proper and full accounting for September 11, 2001. We demand it!
