Bush Freudian Slip in Fox News interview (LIHOP)
WALLACE:

...So, to set the record straight, do you think it is legal {waterboarding} and are you prepared to authorize it if you believe it is necessary to protect the nation?

BUSH:

...The American people have got to know that what we did in the past gained information that prevented an attack. And for those who criticize what we did in the past, I ask them, which attack would they rather have not permitted --- stopped?

(Watch the clip if you can find it, it's even more obvious)

1. He also thinks you should be putting food on your family...

2. My personal favorite Bushism:
"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we.They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."

6. This one's not a Bushism, it is a statement of fact.
"It would be easier if this was a dictatorship, but only if I was the dictator." - Dec. 20, 2000.

4. And in his next statement, this pearl of wisdom:
(Wallace asks: Are you puzzled by those who are concerned about protecting the rights of those who want to kill us?)

Bush: That is an interesting way to put it. I wouldn't necessarily define some of the critics of my policy that way. I would say that they want to be very careful that we don't overstep our bounds from protecting the civil liberties of Americans.
