The point was about whether or not AA had airphones installed in their fleet in 2001. As noted in the article I linked, AA took the airphones OUT of their planes in 2002. DRG "confirmed" the "absence" of airphones post-2002.

If you take a look at the POINT BEING MADE - i.e. whether or not AA had airphones in 2001 - demonstrating that point has nothing to do with whether Flight 77 took off.

Perhaps you are on to something. Perhaps the airphone calls were made from an airplane in a hangar. But that's pretty much tangential the question of what equipment was aboard the AA fleet in 2001.

Just wait until Biggus Dickus hears of this.
