Today on Prison Planet's main page, an advert can be found for 'The Dragon Slayer', advertised as a free newsletter to which one should 'subscribe now!' ...

When the side banner picture link is clicked, the Prison Planet visitor is taken to a page on the website of a church ministry called 'Scriptures for America Worldwide'.

So, just what is Scriptures for America?

Scriptures for America is an extreme right-wing organisation run by self-styled 'Pastor' Pete Peters, a man with a long history of involvement with the 'patriot' movement in America. Peters preaches a form of the racist and anti-Semitic 'Christian Identity' theology. While Scriptures for America now eschews the 'Identity' label, the beliefs remain the same

If Jones isn't anti-semitic himself, then this is a real problem for him. He could claim he didn't know what Scriptures For America stood for, refund their money, apologize to his readers and listeners and move on. But I suspect that isn't the tact that Jones will take. Instead, he will likely ignore this because Scriptures For America does accurate reflect his beliefs, and hey, they're paying him, so it's all good.

Oh, and of course, Jones' listeners and readers will continue to defend Jones.

I work in Manhattan and I see cops with M4's or MP5's from time to time on the street. I also see cops patrolling with soldiers or soldiers patrolling alone in Grand Central and Penn Station. I don't feel any safer, in fact I feel pretty sad.
