1. Why don't you fucking research it, Bill? |
|
You seem to be able to find all manner of goofy videos...why can't you do some basic research and find this stuff yourself. Not only do you throw it onto us but, no matter how well researched our answers are, you just claim that "everyone is lying".

Maybe he's not throwing it onto *you*... he might be looking for an intelligent answer.
just a thought....

That is not really what he said. Rather said that Mayor Giuliani claimed the recorder was found. According to the 9/11 commission report, no boxes were found at ground zero.

You have proof that they were found? Other then one mislabeled video, which does not do what you claimed? Please, don't leave it in the dark, enlighten us.

My point was that I don't believe much that the 9/11 coverup-commission said.

You do comprehend english? The claim I made, as opposed to the one you say I made, was that Dan Rather said it. :eyes:

The way you put it makes it seem as though it is Rather's claim. In fact, he was reporting Giuliani had made the claim that the box was found. Perhaps a subtle difference but a difference all the same. I have noticed though that you like to post videos from you tube that you put here without question or even comment, leaving the reader to guess that you believe them. You apply no analysis or critical thinking to them and instead defend them as though they must be fact because they have a title and were posted to you tube. Thermite bomb... 10 seconds... Dan Rather said... I'm certain I could find more. I would suggest you might find your truth if you at least tried to post items that do not disprove themselves.

" I have noticed though that you like to post videos from you tube that you put here without question or even comment, leaving the reader to guess that you believe them."
Things aren't posted just so you can guess what the poster believes about it. Some things get posted with no comment or analysis so that *YOU* can watch it and make up your own mind about it. That's what most normal people do. Haven't you seen how we bash the M$M for trying to shape opinion instead of just reporting the news and letting the people make up their own minds??
Learn to think for yourself, ok?

I think for myself just fine. It is also nice to know what people that post things think about them as well though. Posting without comment or with questions that can be answered easily without trying makes no sense to me.

15. Sorry, but what someone else thinks about should have no bearing on what *you* think about it.. |
|
.. it's the whole 'make up your own mind' thingy that I mentioned before... please try to comprehend that. What wildbill thinks about the video has absolutely NO BEARING on the content of the video, nor should it have any bearing on *YOUR* thoughts/perceptions of it...
If you have some comments to make regarding the video, please do so. Badgering wildbill about *his* opinion isn't going to get you anywhere...

The video was not as stated. I also answered wildbills questions that could have easily been answered by wildbill if s/he had done two minutes of a google search. But wildbill does not believe, so the next logical question on the OP is well, what do you believe then? Duh.

21. Did Rather report that a box had been found or did he not? |
|
He reported what Ghouliani said, which made it legitimate in the eyes of many. He lent truth to it.
As for pointing to the 9-11 Ommission Report, you can *expect* to be ridiculed for that. They should have just named it the 9-11 Whitewash Farce.
You can save your 12 year old "Duh" bullshit for someone else, too... do you think this is the playground or lunchroom at your middle school?
Thanks...

He questions at the end if it is true and it looks to me like the clip has more to it to find out if it is true but the clip gets cut off before that is done. Interesting how you will take a snippet of a news report and take it as proof of a cover-up and not have any desire to question why the rest was not included on you tube. duh.
oh, and it will take a bit more then accusing me of being a twelve year old to get me going, good luck with that though.:hi:

If you have problems with the way I post I suggest you use your ignore feature. This forum is about September 11th. I'll post what I feel like as long as I stay within the forum rules. Your analysis and assumptions of my posting methods are not relevant to the OP. I don't give two shits whether you think I apply critical thinking or not.

I don't think closing ones eyes to things one does not agree with solves anything. I thought my analysis and opinion was relevant to the OP, I noticed that once again your title does not match what the actual content is. Since you did not seem to be able to connect the title to the content, it appears you did not apply any critical thinking to the actual content of the video. Since you asked questions that were easily answered it appeared you did no analysis. I simply pointed that out. I don't really care one way or the other how you post, it means nothing to me but I will feel free to post my thoughts on any topic I feel inclined to.

and I decline using it for most here but some posters who only post attacks about people's intelligence while offering no sign of their own are on my ignore list. There are two at present.
Connect which title to what content in which post are you talking about. What questions are you referring to that I could have answered myself?

"Connect which title to what content in which post are you talking about."
I can think of three off the top of my head, already mentioned in this thread, this thread, the thermite bomb and what happened sept. 10th.
"What questions are you referring to that I could have answered myself?"
Same three.
The black boxes were not found. Now, I'm not sure when this small part of a report you link to was broadcast (I saw no indication in either the video or the you tube page, perhaps I missed it) but I suspect it was very shortly after 9/11. I would bet that there was a correction also broadcast shortly after. Unfortunately, I do not know how to find replays of a day or so's worth of news broadcasts to find the correction. I also do not take a snippet of a news report on you tube to be the whole story. It appeared at the end of the clip that it was about to go to the announcement with Guiliani... but whomever put the clip up ended it before then. Why? Did it state then that no box was found? or not even touch on the topic because what Rather was being fed was incorrect? I don't know. But I suspect it would have made the existing clip a lot less suspicious.
Whenever there is any type of great calamity, the news begins broadcasting all information as soon as they get it, without verifying 100% if it is true or not, they simply pass along what they hear. Right or wrong, that is what happens. When you something the size of what happened on 9/11, to expect everything broadcast in the first hours or even days to be true is not a realistic expectation.
The thermite bomb... it was not a bomb.
What happened Sept. 10... it did not really happen on Sept. 10th, it began well before then and was a continuation of an ongoing story.

Read it again! The poster at youtube titled his post: "Thermite bomb". Duh! If you read it you'll see that what I posted as the OP was "What's a thermite bomb?" That's a question by the way.
I did say Rather said the flight recorder was found. That was incorrect I agree. I should have said that Rather reported that there'd be video of Giuliani holding up one of the black boxes. So you're right on that. The point was that somebody said it and I wondered if anyone else had heard of that or what had become of the alledged video. I think you like to nitpic irrelevant shit to distract from the main point.
Now do you deny what Rummy said on September 10th? That was the post. Rumsfeld made the statement on September tenth.
So you got one out of three right.

Rather specifically refers to Guiliani as the one claiming the story. Rather himself does not claim anything more than what Guiliani is reported to have said. At least your lead-in title would have been better as "So Rudy Guiliani said....." Maybe you can modify that?

Thank you and yes maybe I should have said Rather reports that Giuliani said... Perhaps that would have avoided the nit picky thread disruption. But the idea was to draw attention to the fact that it was said that the flight recorder was recovered. And why was it said. Was it a mistake on Rather's part? Rudy's? What's the truth? And there are other similarly questionable reports that have been forgotten IMO. Like the van with explosives reports.
