the "appendage" that is circled in the first few photos (which are extremely poor images, which is part of what gives rise to nonsense like this, is called a FAIRING. It's where the landing gear is stored before it is lowered and after it is retracted. If you'd bother to fact-check this, you'd find that all similar airliners have this. This is, once again, much ado about something the 9/11 CT crowd hasn't bothered to research properly.
