Flight 587 shoebombed, and Bush covered it up?

I believe it is possible and base my suspicion on 2 things:
1. A colleague who was eyewitness to the crash, was standing on the beach in Far Rockaway and swore to me these 2 things were true:
...1- the plane was on fire somewhere amid ship
...2- the plane was headed back towards the airport.
2. There is corroboration of this account:

1. this is sickening

why didn't this come out before the election? it only happened THREE YEARS AGO!!!! this is the kind of crap we should have been jumping all over. if the Repunks wanted to play this election on people's fears, we could have played right back.

Why would it be hushed up? If the repubs are trying to whip up fear, wouldn't it make more sense for them to shout it from the rooftops even if it really was pilot error and a poorly designed plane?
