Raytheon is headquartered in Waltham, MA, and has a business division headquartered in MA, one in Southern California, and one in Virginia.

Two of the flights hijacked on 9/11 were out of Boston, MA. A third was out of Washington Dulles in Virginia.

All three planes were headed to Southern California, a hotbed of defense contractors.

Why do people see something nefarious behind this? It's not a surprise at all that defense contractors were traveling on these expensive transcontinental flights where most of the passengers were business travelers.

Other types of companies lost employees on those planes as well, were those companies part of the conspiracy?
