Why were Bush and Cheney allowed to 'testify' together behind closed doors?

that is, behind closed doors, off the record, no recordings, no transcripts, no cameras, no nothing.
you call that a testimony. What kind of a sham farce of an investigation was this??

1) yeah, right. that must be a first in the history of the western world, then. maybe that's how they do it in opposite world, but here on earth you play them off one another by interviewing them separately, not together. its impossible to play them off if they know what the other one is saying, all they have to do is repeat what the other guy just said and/or simply nod in agreement.

2) but that's beside the point because it was not the commission's idea to interview them together.
it was CHENEY'S idea. the commission allowed Cheney to set all the conditions, including the right to refuse to answer any question he didn't like. no doubt Mr. Cheney feared it would be impossible for an idiot like Bush to keep their stories straight if interviewed by himself, so of course that's why Cheney did all the talking while Bush just sat there and stupidly nodded in agreement.

3) no transcript, no record of anything. that is not a testimony. it's a farce. the whole 9/11 commission hearing was a big show trial. that's the unanimous conclusion of the 9/11 family members who sat through it, not just mine.
