The emotional confrontation came as Special Agent Matthew Walsh opened his testimony at the retrial of Mounir el Motassadeq, describing how the hijackers used pepper spray to subdue those in the first-class cabin, slit the throat of one passenger and stabbed two crew members.

1. No not really. They speculated from some of the phone calls from the

hiajcked flights that the hijackers had either pepper spray or mace. Some people complained of trouble breathing. I don't think they know whether they used mace or pepper spray for sure.

This is mentioned in the 9/11 commission report.

Ong's tape was played in public in January at a hearing of the Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States.

"The cockpit is not answering their phone," Ong told the American Airlines operations center. "There's somebody stabbed in business class, and we can't breathe in business. Um, I think there is some Mace or something. We can't breathe."
