Whatever hit Pentagon seems to have had high radioactivity??? What does
that imply? Are there any other reports or evidence consistent with this report? Is there any regular radiation monitoring in the capital area and if so is the info available?

A geologist had her colleague go out on her balcony in D.C. with a Geiger counter -

interview by Iconoclast

MORET: I’ll tell you what I did when 9/11 happened. I called all the doctors with Radiation And Public Health Project, and I said, "Get out of town, and don’t come back until it has rained three times." One lived 12 miles downwind from the Pentagon. She went out on her balcony with her Geiger counter. I said, "Get that Geiger counter out of your purse." We had just done a press conference in San Francisco, and I knew she had it in her purse. Well, the radiation levels were 8-10 times higher than background. We called the EPA, HAZMAT, FBI, and said, "Get all those emergency response workers suited up. They need to be protected." Two days after 9/11, the EPA radiation expert for that region called back and said, "Yup, the Pentagon crash rubble was radioactive, and we believe it’s depleted uranium, but we’re not worried about that. It’s only harmful if it’s inhaled." He said, "We’re worried about the lead solder in the plane." Well, you know what’s in Tomahawk missiles? They have depleted uranium warheads. The radioactive crash rubble contaminated with DU is evidence of a DU warhead.

Entire article is chock full of extremely frightening info about Depleted Uranium

1. Interesting. According to an article I found, Boeing says it doesn't use
DU in Boeing 757's though it was used as a ballast in 747's.

DU is in armor piercing and bunker-busting missiles, and may support the idea that the Pentagon was hit by a missile.

Perhaps the A-3 skywarrior, a la Karl Schwarz, fired a DU-armor piercing missile...

2. The info on DU in the link is very frightening; WHO states that they
expect doubling of cancer rate and birth defects in world from U.S. use of DU in Iraq, Afghanistan, Yugoslavia, etc.
and the author quoted says that those countries are unlivable and should be abandoned.
Anyone know another link discussing this?

7. Bunker buster warheads make small holes..
Edited on Tue Jun-14-05 06:22 PM by hack89
the idea is to penetrate deep into the target and then explode. If a bunker buster hit the Pentagon, all you would see on the exterior facade would be a neat hole - not the extensive blast damage seen. The interior would be extensively damaged. Another problem is that most big bunker busters are gravity bombs dropped vertically from great altitude - a missile would have to be relatively small to be fired horizontally from a tactical aircraft. Missiles of this size have small warheads with explosive charges of 500 pounds or less - not big enough to create the damage seen.

And of course there is the minor issue of no one seeing an A3.

8. How to check out the credibility of the report?
There seems to be mostly one main source here, who reports that she called a biologist who she knew had a geiger counter.
How to determine the name of the person who had the geiger counter?
and why hasn't she come forward to make a statement?

Why no followup on witnesses like this one?

Wouldn't there be radioactivity monitoring after what is said to be a terrorist attack?
