CBC mentions 7/7 London Terror drill story
I read this on Alex Jones, but wanted to find it on a more mainstream source, and it's cited on the Canadian version of the BBC (CBC):

It's the first story in the program summary:

http://www.cbc.ca/sunday/#night

If you haven't seen the seven other threads on this, this is remarkably similar to how NORAD was confused and sidetracked on 9/11:

http://www.prisonplanet.com/agency_planned_exercise_on_sept_11_built_around_a_plane_crashing_into_a_building.htm

This on top of UK Independent story that they are looking for WHITE guys, and Tony Blair says there's no need for an inquiry, and this not only looks eerily like 9/11, but makes it look more like both were false flag operations.

I hate sounding like a nut, but it seems too obvious to ignore.

2. This looks legit - oh, G-d, not again!
I can't believe that they allowed another piggy-back attack. This is horrible. Raises too many questions to go into here.

Thank you for posting this Yurbud. Kick.

3. another possibility for the implications.
whoever did the bombings knew about the exercises and timed them accordingly to a) cause confusion for authorities in terms of real vs. test and b) a sort of 'in your face' to the govt. thinking they could protect from attacks like these.

i'm not saying one way or the other, i'm just saying there *are* other possible explanations besides conspiracy. obviously *something* strange is going on.

5. i don't follow you
what do you mean?

i don't know if my post was clear either. i was saying that somehow the 'terrorists' had the info of when and where those tests would take place and they used that info for the reasons i mentioned.

in terms of 'conspiracy', how would the govt. (or rather, a corrupt group within the govt.) benefit by doing it at a time like that? it doesn't make sense because of how suspicious it looks.

important than keeping the appropriate watch dogs distracted.

6. So what?
coincidents happen.

although, you can count on the Alex Jones types spinning it far out or proportion and nicely fitting it into their cornball New World Order theories.

10. What?
Can people no longer have an opinion based on facts?

I thought we still have the ability to express our opinions or
has that disappeared as well?

14. same coincidence for 9/11 and 7/7? that aint odd?
It was odd enough that they had four different exercises going on on 9/11 that cut the reaction time of NORAD from 20 min to almost two hours.

If you aren't familiar with that, it was covered in the AP, Aviation Week, Rep. Cynthia McKinney asked Rummy about it, and the 9/11 Commission grudgingly addressed it. Condi Rice also LIED to the 9/11 Commission about the anyone in gov't considering this scenario.

It happened. Just because you don't like the implications, doesn't make it not true. And if we were talking about some third world dictator, most people would be more willing to believe it. But somehow, they think no one would do that here.

Having exercises the second time seems a bit far-fetched to be a coincidence.

It's just state sponsored stuff like Agent Orange and Operation Gladio that never happens.

a conspiracy!

When one is confronted by verifiable facts, motives, and un-f*cking-believable coincidences, one should dig deeper, no?

That's how a plausible who-dunnit on TV would be carried out, so why do we act like that's so deviant in real life?

Seems more like an editorial comment by the moderator.

22. visor
Visor Consultants have been at the forefront of many significant Business Continuity (BC) changes. Most notably broadening the concept (horizontally) to include all operational / business units, and stimulating executive commitment and ownership (vertically). Peter Power, is the author of the UK Government best practice guide on Business Continuity entitled Preventing Chaos in a Crisis and at the suggestion of KPMG also wrote the Crisis Management chapter in the recent BBA guidebook on BC.

Visor consulting has provided support in both public and private sectors ranging from the 7th largest organisation in the USA to the Department of Trade and Industry in the UK and being totally independent and thus unbiased towards recommending any other solution or service provider. Their clients in London have included JP Morgan Chase, ING, Mellon, Lloyds TSB, Morley Fund Management, Bank of New York, Arcadia Group, FCO and Universal Music.

17. Does anyone yet know --
1. What the likely effects were? I.e., was the response to the bombings quicker or slower than it would have been if such exercises had not been underway?

2. Or are there other strategic effects or implications?

3. How often are such exercises conducted?

W.r.t. 9-11, as I understand, we normally might have had a chance of shooting down or thwarting one or more of the later-attacking planes, but because of the ongoing exercises, our response was delayed.

If something similar is true w.r.t. 7-7, I need someone to explain to me how.

20. It wasn't a gov't exercise. A company was having an emergency exercise
for a terrorist attack scenario, rather like my workplace might have an emergency drill. The company contracted with consultants to help them with the planning and exercise. A fellow with the consultant firm mentioned the exercise. (I think the last bombing in London was in 2001 if I recall correctly, so it's not like there hasn't been a history including the concern for future attacks and that some firms might have such emergency contingency exercises.)

But this wasn't a gov't exercise, which is what many are taking it to be.

Adrian Gordon is the Executive Director of the Canadian Centre for Emergency Preparedness, and Peter Power is Managing Director of a London-based consulting firm that specializes in crisis management, Visor Consultants - which on the morning of July 7 was co-incidentally running a security exercise for a private firm, simulating multiple bomb explosions in the London Underground,

Ok this is interesting what private firm? I wonder if this has anything to do with Guiliani being in London, since he was there that morning and he runs a security firm.

This is from a "reputable" source unless mods have it in for CBC. There is another thread here:
