Secret Service 9/11 foreknowledge
My name is Donald Robert Traill. In the year 2000 and for the entire year of 2001 I was an inflight caterer at KABE airport, I overheard some pilots at Queen City Municipal airport discussing Arabs acting suspiciously at flight schools. I began to do some thinking as to how I would do an attack if I were them, and my final plans mirrored theirs to a frightening degree. When I saw an article in the Morning Call in the Lehigh Valley about a man arrested at the Canadian border with explosives; and later articles said he was suspected of a plot to bomb the terminals at KSFO and KLAX; I knew the destinations of the hijacked planes and had an idea the attack would be put on the fast track. I went to Washington and arranged an interview with the Secret Service. I told them nothing new; but put together the airport rumors with a lot of things that I had been putting together from the media. It was the clearest picture presented to any agency pre-9/11. The Secret Service told the Commiosiion there was nothing of interest in the interview tapes. I recognised the lead agent conducting the interview from a special on TV- the White House Detail Chief under Clinton.

An overview of what I said-

AL-Quieda figures are in country; and at flight schools- told them to check with the DNS.

According to my best estimate of the action group, there would be four hijackings; not just two for the trade center. The agents themselves assumed Washington would be hit if the first two were successfull. The WTC as a target was a no-brainer, since the truck bomb they were 1000 foot tall middle fingers taunting Al-Quieda.

I warned them there would be an acceleration in planning now that the guy coming from Canada was arrested. Before 9/11 I sincerely believed the terminals in CA would be bombed- when a plane goes down; where do the survivors go? After the attack this man arrested on the border became known as the 20th hijacker and I saw no more in the media about the supposed plot to bomb airport terminals.

All in all, I would say the Commision would be plenty interested in what the Secret Service knew beforehand, coming from a man who was certified at the time to bypass airport security by the FBI. I had also already passed thru SS background checks, as I catered Candidate Bush's plane when he came to the Lehigh Valley PA. I did not recieve sufficient reasssurance I was dealing with honorable men; (remember Richard Jewell?) as I seemed to be being treated more as a threat than a source of info I did not feel safe getting into my guesses as to the terrorist's plans. Had I been able to tell them I believed 767s would be used exclusively along with domestic airlines; Air Marshalls could have redeployed and stopped all but possibly Flight 93.

The Holidays have been slowing down progress; but currently I have been attempting to get a copy of the interview tape thru contact with Senator Charlie Dent's office and the Philadelphia office of the Secret Service. I was told the Senator was informed, and SS supervisors are supposedly searching for the tape in Washington.

It would lead to just one question: Was the Big Guy informed; or not. In other words; just who screwed up. I was tolld there had been contact with the Pres during my interview; and the lead agent assured me there would be a record; as interview tapes are never destroyed. Whether he actually was informed would be a matter of great interest to the American people.

Fly 2 ROCKS!!!

I'm 35, a burden on society...

Couldn't resist. Born in Allentown, was a carpet cleaner in New York but the money in the Lehigh Valley doesn't really justify the work. Since the bottom fell out in late 2001 I went from being an inflite caterer at KABE to working with my bro, a contractor. Usually I'm a helper/gofer, ocasional cleaning. He's working in Germany for a month, will go for another when he gets back. My job now consists mainly of "watching" the tools/vehicles at his headquarters. Except for odds and ends, that means keeping the dogs fed/excercised and SIMMING. (He has two, I have one.) Sublogic on a C64 was my first. Also fly remote control. My dad flies Cherokee 140, Aztec and Turbocommander 690B. Took lessons for a while, but virtual gas is cheaper. An FAA driver's licence for operations on the ramp is my only certification. Heavily into chess, if 'puters couldn't play chess or run flite sims, I wouldn't own one. Love clothing optional beaches, live in a 25 foot motor home that conveniently fits in my bro's building. Lease a campsite near Allentown. Next to the Lehigh river for tubing. Really enjoy reading too.

The Avsim survey has the average age in it...

Best Regards, Donny

LOL! It must be difficult predicting events after they happen. Perhaps the President can help corroborate Shalomar's story. After all, the ball is in his court.

Nice find fed-up.
