2. Why not listen to Palestinians directly?
Many speak english, at the very least what their words are said can be translated to English. I am always amazed that in the media, it is rare to hear a Palestinian voice, or even an Arab voice.

3. I don't think any single source should be relied upon
Listening to sources on both sides (as opposed to listening to "both sides of the story" as presented by one source) can help unravel the truth.

Also there are non-mainstream analysts of the issue, ie Noam Chomsky (www.chomsky.info) and Dave Emory (http://wfmu.org/playlists/DX).
