4/1/2006

This is only a very small portion of the talk Rep. Weldon gave today. This guy is for real folks. I believe in his sincerity. He went into GREAT detail about Able Danger, and the people were very interested in what he had to say.

Some of you may be wondering how this meeting came about. A very brave man by the name of Dave Sleshinger met a friend of Curt Weldon's. This friend agreed to meet with 9/11 Family Member Bob McIlvaine, Dave Sleshinger, and myself to discuss the events of 9/11 in the hopes that we would convince him to convince Rep. Weldon to meet with us.

It worked.

The friend of Rep. Weldon invited us to this Town Hall meeting so we would have the chance to speak with him. This clip consists of Dave Sleshinger's question, and mine. You'll see I had a few things to say.

I had the privilege of meeting Lt. Colonel Anthony Shaffer today. He is also very real.

Just so you know, Rep. Weldon invited me to lunch, and knew who I was (the guy who dropped off 4 books, and 2 movies to his office).

He does seem to be sincere. I think he needs the backing of the people to take this all of the way.

1. What's your point? Can you sum up?
For some reason the audio is all choppy on my pc and I can't figure out who's saying what.

You aren't shilling for a Republican on Democratic Underground are you? We have a great Democratic candidate this year and we want to move this district into the D column.

So can you 'splain yourself a little better here?

2. Ok
I, and Dave Sleshinger confronted Representative Curt Weldon today about 9/11 Truth. Dave confronted him about the Demolitions, and I confronted him about Bush.

3. What is "9/11 Truth", what did you say, what was his response.
He's a republican. His party controls both houses of Congress. 9/11 happened on their watch. You want an investigation, elect enough Democrats to both houses so we can run things for awhile.

I get a little suspicious when someone suggests Weldon is for real about anything except being re-elected.

As for Able Danger - that is simply a way to pin everything on Clinton, is it not?

No.

http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2006/2/19/194633/395

Of course, Weldon will wield ABLE DANGER as a partisan cudgel if left to his own devices. Fortunately, McKinney and Kucinich are keeping an eye on him. Quite a few members of the Congressional Black Caucus are supportive of Weldon, (Dem and Republican).

Unfortunately, the only Republican with any clout supporting Weldon is Arlen Specter.

Big Ticket Democrats don't want to play with Weldon because he has proven to be such a partisan ass in the past.

ABLE DANGER identified and tracked Al Qaeda in the US and elsewhere, but was not allowed to neutralize the threat.

Why?

The only way to get an investigation is to eliminate the collaborationist "leadership" of the Democrats, without whom Bush would have never had as easy time as he has had.

YOu apparently don't realize it, but I'm not a regular here. This post was originally posted in LBN.

Now let's be clear: I live in Weldon's district and I don't appreciate coming to DU and seeing a post supporting him. We have a DEMOCRAT running in this district so if you are promoting Weldon you are working against the Democrat running, which is against DU rules.

And part 2: I don't hang out in this forum for a reason. I have no friggin' clue what the poster or others in this forum mean when they say "9/11 Truth". So I asked. And no one has bothered to give an actual answer, and you come along with an insult and bash Democrats. Do you think that will win you a lot of converts at DEMOCRATIC Underground?

19. Here's a good start as well...

http://www.911truth.org

Please don't let a little wrangling keep you from participating in this forum -- there's so much at stake. Look at some of the other threads & the many links; and decide for yourself what the truth is re: 911. If you conclude that the 911 Commission report is flawed and/or incomplete -- you'll see the importance of lending your voice to those who call for public clarity and accountability.

(BTW -- I also stumbled on this forum by being redirected from another.)

Furthermore, this is also the Democratic UNDERGROUND. It ain't supposed to be reproducing your DLC/DNC talking points.

I don't support Weldon - I am for the full revelation of the Able Danger information, and for full disclosure about 9/11. Anyone who is for that, I support them in that.

Finally, who is your Democrat running against Weldon? Maybe s/he's a nice gal/guy. Why don't you tell us about'em, and drop the threatening undertones?

I suppose I should have read the rules closer. If this is the case, it goes to show that so called liberal progressives are just as narrow minded and rigidly dogmatic as so called conservative fundamentalists.

It also explains why I can't find anyone on here who admits that 9/11 is a bi-partisan betrayal of our country.

political speak. I commend you for confronting him; but I don't see the reason for optimism that you do. If he is so close to the NYC Fire Department how is he just becoming aware of the explosions? If he has known about them, how can he view them with such aloof ambiguity? What is he doing about it? Someone in his position of power could immediately put this on the front burner of the nation's consciousness with one brief speech on the House floor.

He was right to point out that if the people want accountability they have to demand it. However, he conveniently forgot to mention that the party he admits he is so loyal to, the Republicans, along with the Democrats, have conspired to increasingly entrench themselves in power and insulate themselves from challenge, giving people plenty of reason to sink into apathy and making it inordinately difficult for those who are not apathetic to force accountability upon the ruling class.

In the meantime, the killing continues, our rights continue to erode, and our wealth continues to be plundered.

Again, congratulations on your passion and courage; but anymore than a hopeful, desperate confidence in this man is sadly misplaced.

10. He certainly despises Clinton.
The strange thing is that the Republican Noise Machine never got an organized message on ABLE DANGER. No set of talking points to prattle and endlessly repeat. Lou Dobbs is practically the only guy to cover AD on a National level.

And Tony Shaffer, the AD whistleblower (the most well-known one), has the support of Sibel Edmonds. She feels he is legit.

We were never supposed to know about ABLE DANGER, that's what I think. The 9/11 Omission Commission just pretended it never happened; along with so many other things.

9. Hey Jon...
I'm really concerned about Specter being on board with Weldon. I mean, really concerned that he will ensure that the Truth will never, ever, ever be revealed about ABLE DANGER.

It's clear that Weldon has public support, but ZERO establishment Repub support unless he uses ABLE DANGER as a partisan weapon.

That is, beyond Gatekeeper #1, Arlen Specter.

Tarpley speculates that ABLE DANGER is actually part of a monitoring service for the real handlers of the 9/11 Patsies, or, they are actually members of the handling team. (That would explain why Specter has been tasked to "spin things down".)

The problem is that ABLE DANGER is a bi-partisan problem. Once you start peeling layers on that onion, an inconvenient picture of "protected assets" starts to form; how did the hijackers manage to freely move about the US for literally YEARS before 9/11? All with the CIA, DIA, FBI, NSA knowing about them?

Looks like compartmentalization, but that's just speculation on my part.

The Right-tards who run the Able Danger blog always have the latest; but you must tilt your head to the right to read the site properly.

13. I won't contribute to his campaign...
...but when he addresses issues publicly, in Congressional Hearings, with the support of D's and R's, I will blog about it, etc.

If you are serious about seeing a fair election in Pennsylvania, I would recommend concentrating your fire on Harry A. VanSickle, Commissioner, Bureau of Commissions, Elections and Legislation in PA.

Let him know that you will not stand for Election Fraud in your state, let the Governor know, too.

http://www.votepa.us/index.html

http://www.thepittsburghchannel.com/news/7161565/detail.html

All the stumping and canvassing in the world ain't gonna do shit if the election is decided for you via digital vote theft, voter suppression, and other under-handed tactics.

Bush's ass is on the line in the coming mid-terms, the Rethugs are going to pull out all the stops on this one. Just watch.

----------------------------------------------------------------

So how do you all feel about getting to the truth of 9/11?

14. I live in Weldon's district.
He has historically won his elections handily in this republican-heavy district, but the district is trending democratic, voted for Gore and Kerry, and Weldon is vulnerable this year. He is too close to Bush, has taken money from Abramoff, and we have a great Democratic candidate in Joe Sestak: http://www.sestakforcongress.com .

Delaware County (which covers most of PA-7) has adopted the same electronic vote system that Philadelphia has been using for years, and at a least a few election integrity organizations have supported. My understanding is that they can be retrofitted with a VVPT add-on, so when Congress or PA legislature gets around to mandating that, it will be great. Meanwhile I'm not losing sleep over it. Can you point me to any statistical evidence of votes shifting in Philadelphia over those years, which might suggest fraud being carried out on those machines?

"Truth" of 9/11? - refer to my earlier statement. And, frankly, if I have to choose between electing a Democratic Congress and supporting a republican who might find out some huge revelation about 9/11 - I'll take the Democratic Congress. Because I know for damn sure that NOTHING good will happen on 9/11 with republicans in power - and A LOT OF BAD will continue to happen ACROSS THE BOARD if they stay in power. If you're shocked that I would take that position: just look at all the truth that has been revealed in the past, for example with BCCI and the CIA working with drug runners. Hell, where are Oliver North and G. Gordon Liddy today? I hate to say it but evidently there isn't much of a long-term consequence of revealing the truth. Maybe 9/11 would be different - but I'm thinking it won't be different enough.

Sestak seems like an honest and honorable guy. Get him elected and give him some real evidence, and I'm sure he'll do the right thing. Re-elect Weldon and all you get is more republican bullshit. In fact, I wonder if Able Danger isn't just the last straw he can grasp and hope he gets some good press that gets him through the election. (Although I really doubt it will work for him.) Ditch Weldon. This is, after all, "DEMOCRATIC" Underground. Or does the 9/11 forum have some special dispensation? (and please note I am only on this thread because it was misposted, first in LBN and then in GD. Right next to threads informing people about Joe Sestak.)

17. Well...
...you're in the 9/11 forum now, buddy. I would say that everyone posting in here wants to know the Truth of 9/11, despite a priori conclusions of what they think the Truth is.

ABLE DANGER is one of the items that the 9/11 Commission CHOSE to omit.

To me that makes it very possible that it has some merit, and Tony Shaffer strikes me as being honest. I could be wrong.

I'll say it again, I'm not going to pimp Weldon as a candidate. But if his revelations lead to a greater malfeasance within the government, I want to know about it.

You better be sure about the voting machines in your district, or you're gonna feel pretty doggone small on Election Night. Have you read this manual on how to steal an election? Because it is more than just the machines;

20. But where are Weldon's revelations likely to lead?
Here's a guess:

1) Intel agencies "lost track" of hijackers.
2) Intel agencies "dropped the ball" on Islamic terrorism.
3) Intel agencies "failed to coordinate."
4) Intel agencies need more oversight.
5) Intel agencies need more billions.
6) Intel agencies need more intel agencies.
7) Bill and Hillary caused 9/11.

Inspired by Shaffer and others, someone in DIA might also step up and flat out tell us, ABLE DANGER was a compartmentalized tracking unit.

Trackin' the patsies.

That's why Weldon must be monitored and kept on the level.

I agree that it is more "likely" that Republican power-brokers will however, attempt to spin ABLE DANGER into one of your aforementioned categories. That's why Specter supports him, so that he can try and steer Weldon to something that the Republicans in general can use.

If the Republicans can't use it, (and I think they can't, it steps on too many toes, more Republican than Democrat), then it will go away.

Rumsfeld's Pentagon has been the greatest roadblock into ABLE DANGER, not Clinton appointees.

The relationship between the United States and "International Terrorism" throughout the 1990's is a whole different can of worms that neither party really wants to crack all the way open.

Rep. Weldon: Yea.

Dave Slesinger: It's the hottest thing happening on the 9/11 issue. In his speech, he praises Congressman Weldon, he's a conservative Republican, he praises Reagan, he quotes St. Paul. I think I have enough for everybody. Just ask me.

Rep. Weldon: It'll open your eyes, because his allegations are pretty strong."

It can't hurt showing up publicly to confront him...
