I'd say that the photo, outside of the framed piece of plane wreckage, makes the plane hitting very plausible, because a missile would be too small to take trees apart like that.. there are tree branches all over the place... AND the first floor didn't look hit, but the second floor. Having said that, the pilot had to be very good to accomplish that (or know how to program the autopilot to do that or something).

It was many years ago that I was in a car driving by the Pentagon on a freeway or expressway. As I remember the Pentagon was lower than the freeway. I am not sure which side of that building I had passed by.

Is there a freeway near the side that was hit? If so, how could a plane avoid the freeway, land on the ground and continue at ground level plunging straight into the Pentagon?
