1. kick
The best film so far... and not just because I was a consultant. Rather, I got involved because I believed in the film-maker's approach: let the facts speak for themselves, cover the money trail, official statements, confirmable, actionable items, and cover-up. (There are enough movies out there trying to cover the physical evidence.)

13. "the film-maker's approach: let the facts speak for themselves"
Like hell. The thing is full of emotional appeals.

14. True
I would tend to forgive them considering the "emotional appeal" that the current administration has cashed in on for things such as the war in Iraq.

3. not too bad
Lots of good info, but I was really disappointed by a few things...

- Obvious political bias. The narrator practically sneers the word "Republican" every time he says it. This will alienate a large percentage of viewers.

- About 10 minutes of the film is wasted on clips from fictional feature films. Sure they are fun to watch, but how in the world are they helping the Truth movement? "See! The government was obviously involved, just look at Start Wars ep. 3!"

- Technically, the recording of the narration is terrible. No pop filter was used in front of the microphone, so every hard "p" causes a minor explosion of lower frequencies in my normal stereo speakers. A pop filter can be made with a wire coat hanger and a nylon stocking.

- Also, as is the case with Loose Change, the quality of the voice not really ideal for the subject matter. Someone with a more authoritative speaking voice with less regional accent should have been used. Most people have at least one friend with a good voice that they can "borrow" for a project like this. It may sound awfully nitpicky of me, but any advertising exec can tell you how important the quality of a voice is when trying to convey a message to a mass audience. Great voice talent makes tons of money for this very reason.

Hate to be so negative toward this film. A lot of work obviously went into it, and that effort is highly commendable.

4. Sort of
I thought it was a really good film in terms of the approach to the facts, which were substantially more accurate than Loose Change, although you could tell that the budget was not large.

I agree about the narration.

Regarding the Star Wars bit, I think the idea was to show people by means of something with which they are familiar that LIHOP is an emotional possibility (if you see what I mean - I'll try and think of a better phrase for it). It sort of works, but not brilliantly, and the 70s clip, in particular, could be shortened. I wouldn't have done it like that myself (although I'm not a filmmaker, so what do I know), but I can see what he's getting at.

He could have shortened the end bit with Bush in school, or made it more interesting somehow. I guess there's mileage in playing the footage, but do we have to watch the whole damn thing as a block? What was the approach in Fahrenheit 9/11 - didn't they cut it up or something?

So it was good, but not that good. There's some talk of a 2nd edition, let's hope so.

5. I agree to all points. But - so what ? It is the best film ever !
And it is edition 1.0. Yes take the Hollywood clips into a supplement and add instead the original clips of Michael Meacher and Hellya.

And explain a little bit about air policing as SOP in the NATO. No airgames, no delay, no nothing except withheld information or aa "stand down" order could stop the scrambling of fighter jets, especially from Andrews AFB.

And a last wish: the "hijackers" are alleged hijackers. I do not claim that all the JohnDoe findings must be introduced. Only: do not solve the "who did it" when it is unsolved.

Many wishes. But all in all, it is excellent, it sounded like an illustration of our book sometimes. I do not care that it is a bit unprfessional. Not everybody has got millions like Wolters.

And we must face all the dirt of Hollywood dripping into the public opinion. Good to have an antidot without any conspiracy theory.

Jack please adress these filmmakers with all my lod clapping hands, cheers and da capos.

8. Download it and burn DVDs. Stream it from websites.
Publicize it any way you can--emails, blogging, leaflets in laundromats, posters
on bulletin boards. John Albanese asks that it not be edited in any way, but I
bet he wouldn't mind if you put German subtitles on it.

11. When you make ANY comment to any thread...
It goes immediately to the top of the forum, which is called "kicking" it to the top.

So, by adding my comment here, I just kicked this thread into greater prominence (the top spot, in fact).

17. It means "no text" as in no text in the body of your message but
only in the subject line.

It is used as a courtesy so that people don't have to click on your subject line only to find an empty message box.

And welcome to DU.

:hi:
