I wonder who keeps splicing together all this footage from movies that haven't even been released on DVD yet...

Because to tell the truth, movie piracy is a huge black market industry, miranda. Obviously, the footage from V for Vendetta is pirated. There's no fair use defense for that footage.

That was the problem with the only 9/11 CT movie I liked halfway: Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometime. Right in the middle there are huge outtakes from Network, V for Vendetta, and Star Wars Episode 3.

So I'm wondering. All of this blatently illegal intellectual theft, right in the middle of 9/11 truth movies...is this courting the lawsuits? Are these filmmakers (or film editors, rather - hardly any of them generate their own film/video) ripping off copyrighted material to get some free publicity for their movies? Because the more people who find out about their product, the more people who line up to buy, say, the books at the end of EGLS. Or the DVD.

Hell, we've got Roy Ubinger here jumping up and down screaming to be sued by the Naudet brothers. I'm waiting for his sequel: FDNY Caught Drinking the Blood of Gentile Babies! For Real!

Of course, Who Killed John O'Neill? is a notable and commendable exception to this trend. But then again, Ty Rauber and his friends are actors and filmmakers - they want to work in this industry. Of course they wouldn't try to gain noteriety by hacking off the money people in the industry. So they made their own movie, and for a miniscule budget feature, it was exceptionally well made.

So I'd suggest the following rules:

Movies that advertise a product to be bought should buy an ad here. This includes movies like EGLS, who run a whole list of books for further information at Amazon. At least put the sales pitch three clicks in, folks.

Movies that violate international copyright law should be out of bounds for posting here. I don't think DU could be sued for allowing access to pirated material, but why take that chance?

It's hard to escape the conclusion that there is an ORGANIZED approach in operation, complete with a leader who seems to have a very specific role and is either schizophrenic or else and more likely, there's even more "funny stuff" going on.

Any ideas why a Progressive (I assume if pressed, they'd say they're Progressive Democrats on everything except ___, __, __, ___, & all the rest) who claims to sincerely (sic) believe that Osama & His Gang of 19 plotted, planned, and carried out 911 would:

* ONLY appear to be interested in the BUSH911CT

* Use tactics that almost NO DU posters use, but that nearly ALL Rightwingnuts use

He said as long as the actual video isn't on their server, they're in the clear. He was going to put it in front of the mods, but they must have agreed with him.

So, whatever! I'm sure that Warner Brothers et al. would be most disagreeably shocked to find their intellectual property in these films. But do you sue them and give them the publicity they schemed to attain by the lawsuits? It's a dilemma.

in a military hospital in Rawalpundi, Pakistan for his severe kidney ailments. This was widely reported, even in the corporate media - obviously before the perps planted the idea that he (Osama) was "Evil Doer" behind 911. Today, the perps have shifted the focus of blame away from Osama and on to al Qaeda.

The CIA created and gave the name "al Qaeda" to a group of Mujahadeen fighters. OBL is a CIA asset and "leader" of some of them. They were fighting the Russians in Afghanistan for control of the lucrative heroin business. That's one way the CIA funds some of their more unsavory operations: smuggling drugs.

The Kean-Kettering 911 Commission Report is about as helpful as the Warren Commission Report.
