If the comic page is any indication, Bush is going down in flames
If you want to take the real pulse of America, don't look towards the infotainment industry political gab fests like Hardball. Check out what's on your local papers comic page. I give you two examples. The first, Fox Trot NEVER ventures into politics, but today they touch on BBV and a chimp in the WH...

Then, check out Prickly City, a comic that is supposed to appeal to conservatives and counter Doonesbury's liberal slant...

Bush is taking hits from every direction.

It's going to be a long month for Karl Rove. Heeheehee!

2. Prickly City one attacks Kerry
It's saying he's long-winded and boring.

4. Yeah! Thats the way I read it

I see it more as a jab at Bush sleepwalking through the debate, but I guess they get a jab in at Kerry being "long winded"

I doubt anyone was bored by Kerry's performance at debate #1.

Bush, on the otherhand, was a train wreck in slow motion.

5. Eh...
I think it's just saying Bush is bored too. The moderator dozed off, Bush dozed off. The attack is on Kerry, not Bush.

6. yep. the setup for the joke is to make kerry look boring.
if there weren't the first couple of frames, THEN it would be a knock on both kerry and the shrub.

7. still makes an interesting contrast
I think Fox Trot hits home with alot of people.

The Prickly City cartoon only makes sense to someone who was bored by Kerry's answers. That list is a small one, namely Bush.

8. if I'm not mistaken,
the Prickly City cartoon had to have been drawn before last Thursday's debates. I believe it takes at least 2 weeks for a daily comic strip to be published. So this was just a prediction by the "artist".

9. The best are "Doonebury" and Aaron MacGruder's -
neither one has let up for months and months.
